To make the plug fit perfectly in the drain hole, start by attaching the handle to a rope and then submerge it into a glass of boiling water. Once the plug has softened, carefully pull it out of the glass and insert it directly into the drain hole. To further guide the plug into place, use the opening of a small glass jar to gently push it all the way in.
