Bathroom Sink Strainer

Bathroom Sink Strainer

I designed this contraption specifically to address my niece's and nephew's overzealous water balloon playtime, which kept clogging up our drain. Since our sink lacked the traditional metal tabs needed for a standard strainer, I came up with a solution that could simply lip over the drain. The base portion measures 30 mm in diameter and 10 mm in height. The tiny holes ensure that water flow is slowed down slightly as it passes through the object. To bring this design to life, I printed it at 0.2 mm resolution, with a 25% infill rate, and included both raft and supports. The printing was done on my trusty Creality Ender 3, equipped with a reliable 0.4 mm nozzle.
