This solution targets gaps created by outdated faucets, specifically the common 4-inch wide holes found on many fixtures. I produced this model using TPU, primarily to ensure a secure grip when tightening the nut beneath the faucet, knowing it would seal perfectly (for the central hole). It could likely also be printed in PLA or ABS, but it doesn't adhere as well to the surface like a standard gasket-style cover does. You can print TWO of these units, one TPU and one PLA, and place them on top of each other, which would help secure the TPU across the entire structure. Honestly, my wife simply wanted the holes concealed, so I haven't conducted that test yet. I used to have a compact all-in-one faucet, and my vanity featured three gaps in it. I recently switched to a separate units style faucet (Hot, Cold, Faucet) and realized my error. These covers retail for $25. No thanks.
