Dale's Interferometer is fantastic, but it initially came with three different screw sizes - a major inconvenience in terms of compatibility and inventory management. To address this issue, I standardized on one size: M3 metric threads, which are readily available at my local Home Depot store in abundance. By doing so, I eliminated the complexity associated with dealing with multiple screw sizes. In addition to standardizing the screw size, I also enhanced the design of the paper holder by incorporating it seamlessly into the existing framework. This modification still utilizes Dale's #8 screw but now allows for effortless integration with M3 metric threads as well. Furthermore, I reinforced the shaft that supports the ball and socket mirror holder, making it significantly stronger and more durable.
