Bath Hair Trap

Bath Hair Trap

I live in an old house with a vintage bathtub. Unfortunately, I also have outdated plumbing, so I'm extremely eager to keep hair and other debris out of the pipes as much as possible. Here's my solution. I know there are millions of similar solutions on Thinaverse, but this one is mine. My bathtub drain has a 43mm diameter and features a metal cross (a very basic trap) about 30mm down. Yours may differ, so I've included the Fusion 360 file (.f3d) for you to modify to suit your needs. It should be relatively easy to do. The file is clean and every step is editable. The raised center portion serves several purposes; it makes for a handy place to pull it up from for cleaning, prevents hair from flowing across it for better trapping, and the larger hole at the top enhances drainage. So far, it seems to work well. I've printed one of these with 0.2mm layers and no infill to worry about. It was printed on my Prusa i3 MK3S with the Prusament Silver that comes with the printer.
