Batavus Fuego E-Go 7 Charging Port Cover (Customizable)

thingiverse

This is a replacement cover for the Batavus Fuego E-Go 7s charging port. It probably will fit other models, because their original design was once again so flimsy and crappy, that they probably used it on many other models to save even more money. As you can see on the images there is a tiny O shaped ring that keeps the plug next to the charging port.It should prevent it from getting lost. That actually is the weak spot of the whole design. It could be a lot wider, but well it isn't. And they made the seals plug short, so if the ring breaks, the entire plug gets lost somewhere in the wild. We got lucky as it fell of right in the garage after charging, so you get to see the original and the improved design. Print this in TPU and it should fit right away. Check print setting information for some useful hint to get it printed properly. <strong>PLEASE NOTE:</strong> There is a small chance that there is a switch inside the power connector, which prevents the bike to engage while connected to the outlet. I made the prong longer, so it sticks better inside the charging port. The model we have has no switch so it works fine. If your bike stops working, remove the plug. If it works again you need to cut down the tip of the rubber plug to avoid the switch. Just cut away the tip a little and try again. Repeat the process until the bike starts working again. With the original wacky and loose cap this is of course no issue. As always I included the FreeCAD source file, so you can change the file to match your bike.
