Batarang
thingiverse
I've been honing my skills in 3D modeling and mastering Fusion 360, so I created this batarang. My inspiration came from classic cartoons and the Dark Knight trilogy - I aimed to put the Batman silhouette at its core and give the wings a realistic bat wing appearance. I'm quite satisfied with how it turned out. To print this model effectively, I recommend scaling up around 125-130%. The original design is slightly too small. I printed mine in black PETG and silver PLA at a 0.16 mm layer thickness, but I think 0.2mm would also yield a nice finish. Be sure to add supports for the tips, as they are quite pointed with steep overhangs. A suitable infill percentage is around 15-20%. Anything lower might lead to holes, as evident in the silver version shown in the pictures. If you decide to download and print this design, please share your results by uploading photos as "makes." I'm curious to see how different filaments would affect its appearance. I'd be grateful for any tips or suggestions on improving the design - but most of all, I hope you enjoy it. Feel free to ask questions or offer ideas; I appreciate your input.
