Batarang!
thingiverse
Inspired by an Instructable on crafting a batarang from Arkham Asylum's game, I decided to print a larger, quicker-to-make version using Rhino3D 4.0. Firstly, I recreated the shapes from the Instructable by generating a height field and extracting contour lines before performing a loft between two similar curves for the edge creation. However, the holes in my mesh didn't print correctly, so I manually drilled them out and utilized a 3/16 machine screw, nut, and washers for the central pivot (with limited movement). Lastly, I partially drilled 1/4" holes to accommodate a flat 1/4" rare earth magnet within the wings. Please note that using this batarang will not grant you crime-fighting powers nor ensure return after flinging.
