Bat Signal
thingiverse
This signal is designed to shine bright, complete with holes for wiring and a base that houses a battery. The only missing part is the transparent lens needed to attach the bat symbol. I'll simply cut out clear plastic from packaging. After printing my own design, I found that the connector pieces between the main housing and bracket were too big to fit properly. So, I sanded them down for a better connection. Additionally, I learned that ABS material lacks flexibility. Unfortunately, this resulted in one of the bracket pieces snapping when I tried to attach it. Luckily, CA glue fixed the issue, and everything functions as expected now. The back piece ended up printing into two separate parts instead of one solid piece. Therefore, I'll need to apply glue when assembling the final product. I've since deleted the original file and replaced it with a revised version that should print in a single piece next time around.
