You can now print your own awesome Batarangs from the video game Batman: Arkham City. Check out this video for more details and to see the finished prints in action. I printed mine on my Robo 3D R1 using PLA, then my wife added some amazing post-processing touches. She started by sanding off any rough spots, then primed them with white plastic primer. Next, she painted the Batarangs with matte black spray paint. After that, she masked everything except the blades using tape or playdoh. Finally, she painted chrome on the blades and assembled the whole thing. The Batarang comes in four parts: two blades, a top piece, and a bottom coupler. The blades press-fit onto the bottom, and the top fits on top of those. You might need a little glue to keep the top part secure - I used super glue. Just make sure not to glue the blades, as they're designed to rotate. Here are my print settings: Layer Height: 0.3mm Infill: 20% Supports: Yes Raft: No The Batarang design is licensed under the Creative Commons - Attribution license, and was created by ChaosCoreTech.
