Bat Bunker is a 3D printable bat habitat designed by Whitefield Academy's FIRST LEGO League Robotics Team #6128 (Team Blackout) to provide anyone with a 3D printer the ability to create a bat home. The interior and bottom plate feature a voronio pattern, enabling bats to easily climb in and roost comfortably. Bats can enter through the wide opening on the bottom plate, but predators are kept out by its small size. Printed in three parts - top, middle, and bottom - you can print multiple middles to create a bat house as tall as you want. According to batcon.org, all bat houses should be mounted at least 10 feet above ground, with 12 to 20 feet being ideal. Choose a sunny location on the East or South facing side of your home, and ensure it receives at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight per day. The team thanks the guys at 3Space in Louisville, KY for their guidance in designing the Bat Bunker!
