Bassline 2S drone battery tray
thingiverse
This is a battery holder/tray I've made for a friend that needed a new one in a hurry. The drone model is a Happymodel Bassline 2S micro drone if I'm not mistaken. Luckily the retailer was kind enough to provide the dimensions for it, so I was able to make one for my friend. At first I didn't pay attention to the material and printed with PLA, when my friend got the piece, he asked if it was possible to make a flexible one. After a kind donation from another friend of a leftover spool of TPU, the piece got finally printed in a more appropriate material. I'm not sure exactly how flexible or hard it needs to be, I used an old Shore 32D filament from 3D Fila, feels a bit more flexible than the original one. Maybe a 92D or 96D would be better? I don't know. The first model is with the exact same dimensions as the drawing, the second one is adapted for a battery 1mm wider and 1mm taller. Modeled in FreeCAD, please excuse my amateur skills, it certainly could be made to be easier to edit, but I haven't touched any CAD software in quite a while. Printed with a Sethi3D AiP A3 printer and 3D Fila FLEX (Shore 32A TPU) filament, 0.4mm nozzle diameter, no supports. Extruder was at 220°C and the bed wasn't heated (ambient temperature was about 30°C). As I had no baseline I just used the printer manufacturer recommended settings for flexible filament, 0.3mm first layer height, 0.2mm for the other layers, 30mm/s base speed, except for the first layer where it was printed at half the base speed. https://www.happymodel.cn/index.php/2022/09/05/bassline-spare-part-3d-printed-battery-tray/
