Bass players who prefer playing electric instruments will usually use an active-type electronic pickup system. They have to install a piezoelectric pickup system in their basses that can pick up vibrations. This allows the player to hear the deep notes that a traditional string is not capable of producing on its own, but at a cost that makes them very pricey. In reality, a more efficient solution is available.
