UPDATEBeater Head V.2reshaped the sides of the beater for a better balanceadded deeper recesses for nut on both sides for cleaner look and easier install (recommend a second nut underneath to lock and hold at desired height, alternatively you can use a for a more permanent hold)My first design of a bass drum beater v.1. Designed to fit on standard 1/4" ready rod although a more sturdy shaft would be better as the mild steel rod can bend with heavy playing. a felt furniture pad fits nicely on the beater surface to finish it off if you like a felt beater. if you plan to use it bare plastic I would recommend lightly sanding the strike surface as not to damage your heads (especially if using mesh heads like with E-drums).
