Basketmaker II stone projectile point - American Southwest

thingiverse

A scan of an authentic Southwestern Basketmaker II projectile point. These have often been found in dry caves, still hafted to their foreshafts and in association with complete weapon shafts. It is therefore safe to say that these are spearthrower dart points. Courtesy of John Whittaker. When printed, sanded, stained/painted or otherwise post-processed this will be useful in a teaching collection.*This is a scan of an actual prehistoric object.I am presenting these 3d models to everyone, free of charge. None of them were directly scanned from original (“real”) artifacts, unless otherwise noted. I hereby give you free access to use these scans for whatever purposes you desire. If you do use these models or data derived from them in a publication, please thank me or provide a citation to this page; while the models are simple they represent a fair amount effort in research, carving, scanning, etc.
