We've got basketball hoops in our gyms that retract with a pulley system. During assemblies, the hoops can be winched up out of sight. The pulley has some nylon gears that seem to have been made from high-quality materials, but unfortunately, their internal threads have been stripping out over time - the gears themselves are still intact. The company responsible for making our pulleys seems unable to supply replacement parts, so our maintenance team asked if it would be possible to 3D print a solution. It looks like our pulley system was manufactured by LynRus Aluminum Products.
