Basket Case, a tray-packing puzzle by Stewart Coffin Fit all five pieces into the trapezoid-shaped opening. This puzzle is one of a series of tray-packing puzzles. If you're not familiar with this type of puzzle, I'd recommend starting with one of the others instead (the linked collection page has some recommendations). It seems impossible at first, but it isn't... if it seems like the pieces just won't fit the way you expect, or the tray size is just a little bit off... don't worry! There's nothing wrong with the model or your printer. Keep trying. There are three STL files: the pieces; the tray; and an optional lid. The tray includes an extra space for one of the pieces, for easy storage while the puzzle is in its unsolved state. It's modeled using PuzzleCAD, and I have included the .scad file in case you want to remix it. You will need PuzzleCAD version 1.2 or later. About the Designer Stewart Coffin is perhaps the most influential designer of interlocking mechanical puzzles, having produced a wide range of ingenious designs of various shapes and complexity.
