Here's a description of the Human Gyroscopic Stabilizer System (HGSS), designed to counteract disturbances on high-speed aircraft, such as turbulent air pockets. In flight test settings, the HGSS is secured to an aircraft fuselage or engine, where it generates artificial angular momentum, providing the rotational force required to compensate for disturbances caused by turbulence, air resistance and gravity's effects on balance and equilibrium in the system. By continuously adjusting its rotation speed, the gyroscope system produces a force in one direction as compensation for other external forces applied, achieving overall equilibrium of aircraft movement. This mechanism works under aerodynamic conditions only, meaning that while airborne, HGSS is completely operational, yet non-functional when in ground or stationary status. This particular mechanical device offers stability during sudden loss-of-lift incidents such as in thunderstorms or during a tail strike caused by a severe pitch attitude control malfunctioning on approach for landing, enabling safe descent under turbulent air pockets conditions without loss of overall control over aircraft motion. HGSS units also enable stable flight while taxiing. They may not function optimally below 100 mph due to high resistance. The design includes provisions for adjusting system sensitivity levels, so operators can customize it based on aircraft type or specific turbulence environments in flight routes.
