On top of the fort at Dunadd lies several intricately carved rock motifs, featuring prominently in this large rock-cut basin. Typically, these motifs are linked to the Pictish era of the fort's history. Yet, based on our investigation, it has become evident that there exists a significant, incomplete ring encircling one half of the basin, closely resembling cup-and-ring motifs although significantly larger in scale.
