Basic yoyo 45mm
thingiverse
This is a simple concept yo-yo that's incredibly compact, making it easy to carry in a pocket. I wanted a small yo-yo with a decent weight, reminiscent of the classics. To get the best results, I recommend printing it as dense as possible so it has enough mass for smooth spinning, but ultimately, the choice is yours. You'll need an M4 nut and bolt (about 20mm) and a Spintastics Technic core to make this yo-yo work its magic. The equivalent model can be found online or through Dale Oliver - just track him down. To get the best performance out of this print, you might want to roughen up the middle section for responsiveness. Adding starburst or reducing the gap slightly could also give it a boost. Feel free to share your feedback and try out your own modifications - I'm actively testing this print myself.
