Basic Trilobite from geometric solids
thingiverse
I'm designing a basic trilobite medallion, using Autodesk 123D Design to create it from geometric solids. The inspiration comes directly from the Girl Genius webcomic's Heterodyne family crest, with its intricate design elements. They have created multiple versions of the Trilobyte crest over time, one of which resembles this basic design I've built. Additionally, there is a version without the distinctive head oval, another featuring eyes, and yet another incorporating a Fleur-de-lis on the head - a nice touch! I might work those variations in to offer more options for display purposes. Currently, my focus is on refining the depth of this medallion as it seems somewhat shallow compared to other designs I've seen.
