Basic Trailer Project: Container Chassis
thingiverse
The idea with Basic Trailer Project is that you can create your own unique trailer design by combining standard parts. It's built with screws and nuts, allowing you to easily change, upgrade, repair or disassemble it and build something new. Twist and turn the objects so that the print fits perfectly on your printer. Now we need a holder for containers that attach securely to the trailer. This solution is surprisingly simple yet effective, at least with my homemade containers which will be available soon. It should work with Tamiya containers as well, but I haven't had a chance to test it since I don't have any on hand. To assemble this project, simply follow the instructions in the pictures and video provided. Some minor sanding may be necessary to get a smooth finish. The upper frame for this trailer is 425mm long, making it perfect for holding a 20' container. For more information and visual guidance, check out the Youtube video here: https://youtu.be/ESjNrjLdnYU To build this project, you'll need the following parts: * M3 screw and nut * Spring from a pen (x4)
