Basic Solar Sistem
thingiverse
This object was created and printed by talented students aged 14-15 from the IISS GADDA LANGHIRANO Secondary School as part of the innovative Erasmus+ project PRINT STEM (www.printstemproject.eu), which received valuable funding support from the Italian National Agency INDIRE. The model provides students with a deeper understanding of the intricate Sun-Earth-Moon system. Despite not being to scale, its impressive size and planetary proportions enable students to better grasp complex motions and related phenomena, such as eclipses. One remarkable aspect of this project is that it empowered a student with special needs to shine by producing an outstanding model. This experience allowed him to develop focus, work collaboratively with his peers, and discover the joy of completing school activities through direct hands-on experience. To assemble the model, students can print one copy each, add some weight to the base for stability, and follow the instructions in the accompanying picture. It is recommended that each printed support be reinforced with at least three perimeters to ensure structural strength.
