Basic Katana

Check out this video: https://youtu.be/NKMSjKHEn6o \nFor today's #3DPrintmas model, I've got a Katana that's perfect for the occasion. My wife needed a short katana to fit into a wedding cake for her business, so I modeled a full-size katana in Fusion 360 by tracing its outline from an image. Then I divided it into three pieces and scaled them down to their current size.\nAfter printing the parts, my wife assembled the sword and gave it a fresh coat of paint. She then inserted it into a cake (I'm sure that was very satisfying). You can see the finished cake in the video below.\nThe model file I've included is for a half-size katana. If you want to print a full-size version, simply scale it up by 200%. The sword shown in the pictures was scaled 200% in both X and Y directions while leaving the Z direction unchanged.\nPrinting Details:\nPrinter: Da Vinci 1.0 Pro\nFilament: Hatchbox PLA\nLayer Height: 0.1mm\nInfill: 30%\nSupports: No\nRaft: No
