Basic Katana

For today's #3DPrintmas model, I've got a stunning Katana for you to bring your print game to the next level. This amazing sword came about because my wife needed a compact katana to be intricately placed within a wedding cake for her business venture. So, I dove into Fusion 360 and sketched out the outline of an image to create a full-size katana from scratch. Next, I sliced this magnificent blade into three distinct pieces and scaled them up to achieve its impressive size. My wife then took over, expertly gluing the pieces together before giving it a beautiful coat of paint. And, as she carefully plunged the sword into a delicious cake (a truly satisfying moment!), I knew we had created something truly special. You can easily scale up this half-size katana to full size by multiplying its dimensions by 200%. For the sword you see in our pictures, I scaled all three pieces along the X and Y axes by 200% while leaving the Z-axis untouched. Check out the video of this incredible cake right here: https://youtu.be/NKMSjKHEn6o Print settings: Printer: Da Vinci 1.0 Pro Filament: Hatchbox PLA Layer Height: 0.1mm Infill: 30% Supports: None Raft: No
