Basic hanging wire spool holder design utilizes a length of 3/8" threaded rod for stability. OpenSCAD source code is provided to customize hole size and height as needed. Most standard spools measure less than 20mm from outer rim to inner edge of the hole, supporting larger spools up to 25mm with identical measurements. Printing at 30% infill yields strong mounts that can withstand vigorous tugs on a workbench. To assemble, use short DeckMate screws but avoid over-tightening, as this may cause plastic splitting.
