I aimed to capture a print but was thwarted by my current mount, which blocks access to the charging port. Weighing my options against shelling out $30 for a new one, I decided to take a DIY approach and voila! A custom mount is now taking shape. Although I'm still refining the design, this iteration gets the job done for now. The dimensions of the GoPro Hero 2 are remarkably similar to those of my custom mount, making the first use a bit of a tight squeeze. However, after several iterations, the ABS plastic molded quite well and the camera can be easily inserted or removed. Print time averages around 2 hours, depending on your build settings and printer.
