I was searching for a solution that would stabilize the filament as it printed, allowing it to move freely without jerking around. I designed this basic stabilizer to work for me and may serve others as well. The clip is attached at the center of the frame above the MakerFront logo, with a slot to slide in the filament guide. Simply insert the filament into the guide and start printing. I've settled on these print settings that yield great results for me, feel free to modify them according to your needs: Layer height: 0.2mm Shell thickness: 0.8mm Bottom/Top thickness: 0.6mm Fill Density: 25% Print Speed: 40mm/s Print Temp: 230C Bed Temp: 80C Support Type: Everywhere Platform Adhesion: Raft Filament Dia: 1.75mm Filling Flow: 100% Retraction Speed: 40mm/s Retraction Distance: 0.5mm To stop the print, I added a simple End Stop that slips between the opening of the guide slot.
