Basic Faceshield

Basic Faceshield

thingiverse

A simple face shield designed for a snug fit on smaller heads for short-term use is currently being utilized as an emergency barrier in various GP surgeries and frontline care facilities in the UK facing a shortage of available face shields. The frame offers a good fit for regular and smaller-sized heads, allowing for easy customization with an elastic band. We have successfully tested #89 elastic bands which provide excellent tension, but smaller bands would undoubtedly work well too. The visor is designed to accommodate 0.5mm or thinner face shield material such as clear PVC folders or PET G, utilizing a standard 4-hole A4 hole punch and featuring optional rounded corners on the edges. All design files, including the original Solidworks frame model, are available for those who wish to take this project forward, with the request that proper credit be given if you decide to continue developing it. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
