Basic ESC Cover for KISS 24a and others
thingiverse
Designed a rudimentary ESC cover after severing my signal wires in a crash, thinking this would be an improvement. Some have been engineered with tabs to secure it into place using clips. Crashes are inherently unpredictable. I suggest securing this down with electrical tape or self-sealing tape or applying heatshrink around it. Constructed slightly larger than the KISS 24a ESCs on my X-Labs Shrike, hoping this will be useful for someone else. Printed in TPU. Other filaments can be used but the rubbery and absorbent properties of TPU seem most suitable to me. UPDATED: Added vents on one side of the ESC near the FETs to enhance airflow. The majority of heat originates from the FETs, dispersing through front and rear openings depending on mounting configuration.
