Basic Coffee Maker/Strainer

Basic Coffee Maker/Strainer

A few years ago, I had to pack my single-cup coffee maker during a move and missed my daily cup of joe. Determined to create a coffee without a coffee maker, I used a red plastic bowl with knife-slit bottom for holding coffee and filter. I paired it with a dedicated pan for boiling water, reducing cleaning time. Despite not having a timer, it met my needs. However, the homemade setup is now breaking apart, prompting me to design a printable replacement that addresses its flaws, such as slow drainage. For the replacement, consider using heat-resistant and FDA-approved materials like Taulman's 618 (use at your own risk if you choose this material; ABS is not recommended). After printing, my coffee tasted great, and the strainer withstood boiling water without losing integrity. I also created designs for the original strainer with a flat bottom and one for smaller-diameter cups. Note that supports are needed in the design except for the bottom and first step. For the smaller-diameter cup version, avoid 100% infill and use 20% with 2mm thickness instead.
