Basic butter box
thingiverse
I created a simple kitchen butter container. It puzzled me how no one had designed something like this before... I will likely tweak the top cover for improved grip, but it functions perfectly already. The butter we use comes in standardized packaging of 10x8x4cm - fits neatly into the box. If you need a cover for different butter sizes, I included the source SketchUp file. UPDATE: I rounded out the corners and enhanced the top handle, too. I had to reprint it, but it takes 5 hours on my slow printer... Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Hesine i3 DIY kit Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 15% Notes: Be sure the bottom part is printed upside down (as designed) for best layer smoothness. I used ABS with "ABS goo" to make it completely flat. Post-Printing I washed the box using hot water and standard dish cleaning fluid, just to be sure there was no residue left over.
