Basic Bottle Opener
prusaprinters

This basic bottle opener is designed to fit a 10 (euro) cent coin.

You can either print the slot using basic supports or use the “pause at height” feature of the PrusaSlicer.

When using supports for the slot, just remove them afterwards. The tolerance should allow the coin to still fit in just right. To add support only to the coin slot, you can use the PrusaSlicer's paint-on support feature.

When using the pause, I recommend adding some glue to keep the coin in place. Otherwise, it might be too loose.

Use glue at your own risk! Be careful when applying glue while the print is on the printbed!

This bottle opener has been the foundation for my Panther Bottle Opener.

I printed one (only) to test whether the foundational design works. As time passed, it became one of my favourite openers. It lasts since I designed it a few months ago, having opened a few tens of bottles, even though I printed it quickly with low infill.
