See the tracks in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqSq6HeBsf4 It doesn't matter whether your a robotics engineer that wants to test a concept, or perhaps someone who just wants to print something more tangible to the real world than harry potter wand's, or especially if your just starting out in robotics or have a STEM related interest - this model will be invaluable to you. All you will need is a battery, your favourite Arduino board, 2 motors and the other hardware listed below. I have intentionally made this design non-specific and as such I encourage you to print your own top or 'hat' to suit your needs. I am a Mechatronics Engineering student at the University of Newcastle and to be perfectly transparent with you, I have not used this model myself. However, what I did use when I first started out in the robotics scene was a cheaper and nastier version of my model that didn't allow my personal development. If only I had access to these STL files and the 3D printer's available today. This design has you and a younger version of me in mind. The design is also a knock-off from a costly project I'm currently undertaking (a fully autonomous robotic lawn mower that is affordable for the average person and yet it won't require a boundary wire like all the other options currently on the market) and your support (from buying this model) will greatly benefit both of us. I am going to upload my project's progress to YouTube, If you subscribe to my channel (where I intend to update everyone on the status of my project whilst also providing invaluable advice through my experience to people starting out in robotics) I will reimburse you with the purchase cost of the files! You will need the following hardware: - M3 x 50 mm long SHCS Bolts - M3 Nyloc nuts - M10 Threaded bar and nuts - 6802 ball bearings (optional) My Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCl9je0-JrfzZrBHQmAvl_bw You can get cheap 6802 bearings from Aliexpress: https://www.aliexpress.com/af/6802.html?d=y&origin=n&SearchText=6802&catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20220207042405 You can get fasteners from any decent hardware store as the design incorporates standard sizes, but I tend to use AIMS Industrial as I'm based in NSW, Australia. https://www.aimsindustrial.com.au/ #Endthewarinukraine
