Basic Bed Leveling knobs
thingiverse
Bed leveling knob and nut retainer clip designed specifically for the Q3D TwoUp 3D printer. However, its design is versatile enough to be used on other printers as well. A hole in the center of the knob allows for easy self-tapping when installing the fastener during initial assembly. This eliminates the need for a separate nut, although the hole's hexagonal shape still accommodates a nut if required. This thoughtful design enables effortless one-handed bed adjustments and even mid-print adjustments without any hassle. The necessity to fumble with alan wrenches and hold the nut in place is now a thing of the past. To ensure optimal performance, I replaced the original M3x30 fastener with an M3x35 for added length. This adjustment allows the knob to stand at 9mm above the printer's surface, ensuring it clears any obstructions such as a 1/8" mirror bracket. The nut retainers are cleverly designed to self-center using springs and provide a spacious 9mm opening for the sub-bed, making adjustments a breeze.
