Basic Axe v1

Basic Axe v1

After not being pleased with the grip of the Long Sword (new one has been uploaded), I ended up with a 3d printed handle and was wondering what I could make, whilst the photos show a early version I have fixed all the issues on it with the files, like i forgot to triangulate the axe head, so it wasn't symmetrical so mine has a wonkey blade and a weird bend. also the next is a better scale.I have also reworked my process on how to create the STLs so shouldn't have any issues or faults any more.Whilst you can make it in it's short format, its pretty awesome as a two handed size, just feels a good proportion, As always, this has a space for a core, I've now looking at moving a lot that can to a dual core setup, this actually has space in the axe head to add more structural integrety, it's a 13mm channel because I have access to 12mm wooden dowels, if you need different sizes let me know or even if you have better suggestions, I use them purely because I've printed long things before and they flex and snap so easily. I'm going to actually pick up some 6mm wooden dowels just to make 50% scale models at some point, because I'm using so much filament, is such a waste (like with my 2 terrible katanas laying in the corner).15/11/24 So i'm terrible at self promotion, so only realised that only my latest posts have any info about this, but many people asked me if they could request models or if i had a patreon, so I went out and made one. I'm still amazed that I get tips from this website as I've done all of these because I want to make them, and as I get better at modelling I scrap what I've made and make it better. So, this is my advertisement for my patreon page affini3 whilst I've been a bit quiet for October because of a house reorganisation, I'll be back to posting new designs on there first before posting them here and other sites. Also you can help steer where designs go. Thank you
