Baseboard Trim Repair (Remix)
thingiverse
I needed a one-inch piece of baseboard mitered for an inside corner. Benjamin Parrish's (brenwaterys) "Custom Baseboard Trim Pieces" was a reasonably good match with the existing baseboard*.Using my slicer, I was able to cut and resize a piece, then rotate (45°) and cut again for a perfect miter. Because the existing baseboard was damaged and poorly cut, it took a couple revisions and some caulk to get a good fit. When the room is painted, I'll try to get and post a photo of the finished/painted repair.Overall, Benjamin's trim pieces printed easily and worked well for this small repair. Plus, I didn't have to buy an 8-foot piece, just for this very small job.For another good option, see Colonial Base Moulding (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5879829).For quarter rounding, see Quarter Round Moulding (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4781074).For a 3D-printed drywall repair example, see my Drywall Repair Plug at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6049464.
