Baseball Display Case

A simple baseball display case featuring a slot for a name plate is exactly what I needed. Unfortunately, all I could find were holders and I was looking for a full box. To avoid the need for supports, I designed it to be printed in two pieces. Printing it as a single solid box would have been a nightmare, with unnecessary supports causing frustration and making it difficult to print. In fact, I wouldn't recommend trying that at all. The slots can be filled with 1/8" thick materials such as glass, acrylic, or wood, allowing you to customize the look of your display case. Each piece measures 3.5 inches by 3.75 inches for the four "windows." To make it easier to fit together, I recommend cutting each piece about a millimeter smaller. I was able to find this design at Ace Hardware, and after cutting them out, each piece cost only 0.03 cents per square inch. If you prefer glass, they also offer it for 0.02 cents per square inch. Alternatively, you can opt for more expensive materials from a glass shop. The name plate should be made of 1/8" thick material and no wider than 70mm to fit snugly into the slot. You can choose your preferred material, such as wood or other options. I recently built my own CNC machine, an MPCNC, so I plan to use it to print a wooden design for the name plate. For those without access to external manufacturing methods, I designed a printable blank name plate that fits perfectly into the slot.
