Baseball Base Plug

I've been searching far and wide for the perfect plug to fit baseball bases, so I took matters into my own hands and designed one myself. Our current rubber mushroom head plugs are not compatible with our drag system, so I set out to create a plug that could withstand it while still being easy to install. I came up with this innovative design that uses standard weed trimmer string as the "visual" indicator, which is fed through small holes (0.125" diameter). For testing purposes, I used 0.110" string from my local hardware store. There are three different designs showcased here, all of which use standard weed trimmer string for the visual indicator and feed it through small holes. The two larger holes have a diameter of 0.250", intended as backup pull strings. However, due to our drag system's tendency to catch on looped string from previous plugs, I decided not to use them in my field. Design 1 - Single Pull String (Actually Two Strings) - This design uses one loop of string that creates two strings for easy pulling. Design 2 - Single Pull Sting - Looped (Again, Actually Two Strings) - This design utilizes two loops of string, creating a locking tension that prevents the string from being pulled out even when tugging on just one string. Again, this design actually produces two strings for top-pulling. Design 3 - Four Pull Strings - This design builds upon Design 1 but doubles the holes, resulting in four pull strings for increased visibility when installed in the field. Two sizes are included: larger ones measure 1.65" square and fit a 1.75" hole, while smaller ones come in at 1.55" square. The latter size was used for our "runners" bag tied to the first base bag; your runner bags may have different dimensions. If you require custom sizes, please let me know and I can create them for you. Enjoy using these plugs, and don't hesitate to share your experience with how well they work for you!
