Baseball 3D Illusion Lithophane
thingiverse
This is my first creation on Thingiverse so I fumbled around a bit getting the upload sorted correctly. The zip file contains the images and STL. Or you can just download the STL. This is a stereogram converted into a lithophane. It won't look like much until you blur your vision to see the hidden image, as described here: https://www.magiceye.com/faq-items/help-how-do-i-see-in-3d/ You do not need to backlight the lithophane to see the hidden image. However, if you want for it to look pretty, and to be able to see the pattern that covers up the hidden image, you should print it with white filament and use a backlight. You can add color to the lithophane by printing the file Color_Baseball.jpeg (the brightly colored one that's hard to look at) on a normal paper printer and taping it to the back of the print. The original artwork belongs to Magic Eye Inc. I don't own it. I did not create this or upload it to make money on it. For me, this is simply a new way to enjoy something that has fascinated people for years.
