Base Socket Tealight 12V AC/DC
thingiverse
Alternative to a battery-driven LED tealight: A G4 LED is 12 V AC/DC, but can be used with every DC voltage between 9 and 20 volts due to its built-in stepdown converter. Typically, I use an old laptop power supply (19 V). The base fits perfectly on the following tealight shade: Voronoi LED Egg tealight shade made by funkshin https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1554362 It has an inner diameter of 39.8 mm at the bottom. I printed a white and neon-orange one - see pictures. To complete this project, you will need a G4 DC 12V LED COB Bulb rated with 6W (it really has only 1.5W). You can find it on Ebay under the number 312003598494 for about 6.6 €, 10 pieces. Also required is a Socket: DC Power Supply Jack Socket Female Panel Mount Connector 5.5 x 2.1mm, Ebay number: 263411090080 10pcs about 1.1 € No glue or other materials are needed because the DC connector (5.5 x 2.1 mm) screws in and the LED fits exactly in the base. Here's how to assemble it: 1. Print the part 2. Solder two wires to the Connector and put the wires through the base 3. Screw in the Connector 4. Solder the LED to the wires and press the LED into the base You don't need to worry about polarity.
