The base of this ancient statue is remarkably well-preserved, with the feet and a substantial fragment of the club resting beside the right foot clearly visible to the naked eye. The foundation itself takes on the shape of a solid rectangular altar, expertly crafted with precision and care. On its front side, an intricately carved relief depicts Hercules in dual incarnations - as a youthful and mature warrior - as he bravely tackles both the first and final tasks assigned to him. This remarkable piece was unearthed in 1968 near the quaint village of Nisipari within the Castelu commune. Dated back to the 3rd century AD, it stands as a testament to the rich history of Romania. Material: Limestone Dimensions: h 0.28 m, width 0.32 m; thickness 0.24 m Current Residence: Museum of National History and Archaeology in Constanta, Romania
