Archaeologists are conducting an excavation at Oak Lane, Bredon in preparation for Newland Homes to develop the area into residential properties. The site was expected to hold archaeological artifacts from the Roman period following a trial trench evaluation that provided crucial evidence. The site features a well of Roman origin which appears to have been deliberately sealed with ritualistic intentions, accompanied by human remains near its base as well as three cremation urns and several canine remains. This model showcases the base of the well along with the skeletal remains of humans.
