Base for QRPguys Iambic or Single Lever Mini Paddles: Morse Code, Ham Radio

thingiverse

Here are bases for the Iambic Mini-Paddle Morse Code key and Single Lever key for ham radio sold by QRPguys.com, but with a personal twist. I adore the keys, however, wanted a strain relief for the cable and enough of a base to attach Scotch Fasteners (like Velcro) to the bottom so I can easily stick it to my clipboard. In the pictures you'll see that I also glued 10mm diameter x 3mm thick super-magnets to the paddles to secure them to the side of my radios with steel cases. Applying a thin coat of rubber cement to the magnets gives them just enough traction so the key feels firmly bolted on. Make sure to note the .stl file names to ensure you're printing the correct base for your paddle (iambic or single lever). See you on the bands and 73.
