A base for the Nano 3-Axis GRBL controller module, type HW-702. The module is 58mm x 72mm and provides headers for a Nano and 3 drivers, as well as headers for various control pins. It is compatible with GRBL. The module is a small and simple means of controlling a 3-axis machine such as a plotter, engraver or CNC. The Nano includes additional analog pins that simplify extending the controller with special features, and the I2C interface is available for a display. Note that the Chinese clones of this board require a modification if you want to adjust the microstepping. The case is a basic mounting fixture for the module that means development can be undertaken without risk of shorting the components against tools or other metallic items on the workbench. The dimensions of the base can be used for laying out the module supports in the final version of the enclosure. The edge is sufficiently high above the PCB to enable a cover to be designed as a push fit. Note that there is a small cutout for the motor supply connector - the space available may not be adequate for some connectors, because the socket is mounted some distance back from the edge. Two variations are provided - one with r2.15mm holes for 3mm inserts and one with r1.8mm holes for self-threading 3mm screws. FreeCad source is included to allow for modifications.Version 2: Added cutouts for the motor power screw connectors.
