Barrow Entrance & Mossy Moorstone
thingiverse
I conceptualized this barrow entrance in harmony with those found in western Europe. The entrance is diminutive, ideally suited for crouching or crawling rather than upright entry, and it's seamlessly integrated into the earth with a straightforward stone frame. This will function as an entrance to any subterranean dungeon or grotto. Whether it's a barrow, a hideout, or a desert tomb, all you need to do is adjust the color scheme to match your locale. The standing stone serves as a marker, and I've designed characters to follow these monoliths to the barrow itself. Print Settings Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1 Infill: 20% Notes: I employed a small brim to facilitate adhesion with these models, and the samples were printed in 0.15 res. I recommend a 0.1 res, but I was under pressure to have examples printed before departing my house. The barrow entrance may be too compact for some tastes, but it can be scaled up to 2x larger without compromising quality. At one and a half scale the entrance is about shoulder height on most 25mm miniatures. Post-Printing As I typically do with any dungeon-terrain print, I sanded the edges where the brim had been attached and applied a black base coat to these pieces. I then proceeded to paint them with Vallejo model colors.
