This is an incredibly basic shield for a female barrel connector (5.5mmx2.1mm). If you have a standard panel mount barrel connector and want to install it inline at the end of a cord, this will cover up the connecting wires. There are slots available that allow you to secure the cable with a zip tie (check out the photos). This is a super-easy design, but it saved me from having to wait for something to arrive from Amazon.
