Barrel Covers for Novritsch SSG-10
thingiverse
I made a safety cap for my SSG-10. I currently only have one that fits on the rifle suppressor, but I'll make one for regular barrel ends too. I know the field closest to me requires a barrel cover when not on the field, but I don't know if this is acceptable for them, haha. I tested the cover at 0.30mm layer height with PLA at 100% infill and it was able to stop my SSG-10 shooting 0.46g with a M160 spring (~500 fps/2.6 joules) and a 303mm short inner barrel. I haven't chrono-ed it, but this is definitely above the field limit. Basically, should be safe to use with field safe power levels. Optional: use two color printing to highlight the Novritsch logo. Note: Mine shattered after the third shot (not completely; it's still functional but damaged). It certainly looks cool, but I wouldn't suggest using it seriously. Also the impact shatters the BB which you would then need to clean out of your suppressor which is quite a pain.
