Barranco de Gonzaliánez II

This refers to two rock art panels situated in a rocky outcropping on the left bank of Gonzalianes Gorge, adjacent to an asphalted path that occupies the site of the old Royal Road of Verdellada. This gorge represents the initial stretch of the natural drainage system of the ancient Aguere lagoon. The main panel was published in 1999 by Arco Aguilar et al., noting that alongside cruciform motifs appeared Libyan-Berber alphabet-like signs. On the left side of the panel appears, in vertical disposition, what may be the cited alphabetical signs. It is a series of lines, mostly horizontal, in pairs of two or three, and in some cases they seem to fit into Libyan signs. Optimized model through retopology of the original. Project funded by the Excmo. Ayuntamiento de San Cristóbal de La Laguna Registration photogrammetric and optimized 3D by Cultania Last update: 4/12/2017
