Baroque oboe (modern pitch)

thingiverse

This baroque oboe has been transformed into a modern pitch instrument. Its design is inspired by a baroque oboe housed in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts Collection. The oboe's structure consists of three distinct sections: upper joint, lower joint, and bell. To accommodate my RepRap's print bed size, I divided the upper joint and lower joint into two separate parts each. Each part features a bonding surface created 1mm from the bottom up with two alignment holes drilled in for added precision. Before assembly, carefully shave the bottom edge of the bonding surfaces to ensure a seamless bond. A recent update on September 15th, 2016 has led to several key modifications. The oboe now boasts two custom-made keys crafted from a sturdy 1.5mm brass sheet. A detailed drawing is included in the file keys_rev2.pdf for reference; users may need to adjust or reconfigure these keys according to their specific instrument requirements.
